What Makes A GOOD JAV Actress?

AV actresses come and go. Many have been around since the early internet days of JAV and many have retired since then. Many debut for one or two titles but then completely disappear off the market. Case in point? Yuna Otoba.

This girl is extremely attractive. From that cover photo online, it makes you wanna buy a VR headset to see what she's really like, yeah?

Although this girl will definitely make people turn their heads towards her, she's pretty boring in the bedroom. The main reason she got a shot at debuting was likely because of her physique. She got that because she's part of a national dance group, which she passionately talks about in her VR interview question section... like literally almost doesn't stop talking about it.

And from the way she talks about dance, it almost makes you wonder who the hell scouted her and thought she'd make it big in the industry, because she loves dancing that much. She probably loves dancing more than sex.

This girl only made three titles in 2020 before she completely disappeared off the market, which all emphasize her athletic and dancing capabilities. Yes, Yuna Otoba is pretty goddamn fucking hot, but damn, she's pretty vanilla in the bedroom. And by that, I mean, no dirty talk, no initiative, and no personality.

In the AV world, having good looks are just kind of expected, but there has to be the one thing that makes a girl stand out. Many actresses embody one or two of them, but the best ones have all three. Case in point: Miru

I believe this one was my second VR video with Miru. The first one I saw with her, she played as like your girlfriend's older sister, or something. This title, however, really showcased her acting abilities to really get you into the mood. In my opinion, good actresses are ones who can get someone going without a blue pill. The title has a combination of odd circumstances, erotic interactions, and varied encounters.

Another case study: Yui Nagase

VR videos are the most interesting titles since it demands a lot from the actresses. Most scenes are nearly done in one or two takes (one cut), and so, when actresses need direction, you may sometimes find their eyes wandering... looking behind you... as if they're not sure what to do.

They do this because they're looking for a direction cue, which are written on big notepads as you see above. It's easy to cut out takes with regular JAV but in VR, the actress needs to completely understand the concept and purpose of the scene before even filming to avoid breaking immersion.

Or if they do break immersion (initiative), then they make a recovery through their personality or dirty talk.

You generally won't see this with seasoned actresses, but you'll occasionally find wandering eyes when they're pretty new to VR. Yui only does this once or twice in the above mentioned title, but it's easy to forgive, because even if she's not sure about her initiative, she still has personality and is good at dirty talk.

• Do they seduce you with their words?
• Do they praise your actions and encourage you?
• Initiative
• Do they lead you from scene to scene? Or position to position?
• Personality
• Are they funny?
• Are they kind or gentle?
• Are they sexy?
